1.Spine

You See that video that’s my cat.He is no more!.cats have extra vertebrae.Vertebrae stands for any of the small bones that are connected together to form the column of bones down the middle of cat back (spine).which makes thier spine incredibly flexible helps for balancing & jumping.

An adult cat has aboat 52-53 vertebrae. Which are divided into 5 sections.

  • Neck( which has about 7Bones)
  • Chest (which has about 13Bones)
  • lower back (which has about7 Bones)
  • Sacral(which has about 3 Bones)
  • Tail(which has about 22-23Bones!!) *shocking*

2.Tail

Cats use their tails to communicate emotions, intentions and mood.Here is some tail positions & thier meanings.

  • Tail straight up ( means cat is happy,Confident & friendly.
  • Tail straight up with curled tip( means cat is playful & it is a sign of trust)
  • Tail held low (Means scared, nervous)
  • Tail tucked between legs( means Fear, anxiety & submission.

A cat’s tail helps with sharp turns while running.Cat can run upto 48km/hr for short distance.

3.Whiskers

Whiskers are tight hairs which are deeply rooted & connected to nerves & muscles of cat.Cats have these whiskers on cheeks,chin,above eyes & back of front legs.whiskers helps cat to measure spaces like if any gap whiskers fits body usually fit.Cat move in the dark with the help of these whiskers & Whiskers regrows naturally.

4.Eyes

Cats eyes glows due to tapetum lucidum which is a reflective layer behind the retina.cats can see in light 6 time dimmer than humans.cats see mostly blue & green shades & they have a third eyelid for protection and moisture.cats born with blue eyes & it begins to change after 6-7 weeks.Cats are born blind & deaf it start opening at about 7-10 days.

5.Nose

Every cat has a unique nose print like a human fingerprint.Cats have about 200million scent receptors which helps a cat about 14 times better than humans. Some cats have pink pink, black, brown nose which change with age or temperature. Cats greet others by nose-to-nose touching. All cats relay on smell more than taste when eating.
